I'm not the most articulate individual. My strongest means of communicating is through the written word, but when it comes to speaking, I get tongue tied, or just stop talking, unable to put my thoughts to words. So tonight, I'm telling myself that I want to write out my feelings, record everything that's happened in the relationship in a romantic way or make some cute shit up, but I can't even think of anything appropriate. On nights like this, I usually either grab a drink and walk away or just go to bed, but the problem here is that I actually want to be able to write this out. Write my thoughts and feeling. Be cute and romantic, and maybe a little vulnerable. Take a shot in the dark and hope it sticks.

How do you tell someone you love them? Yeah, they're only three words, but by far, they're the most powerful three words in the English language. Words that aren't meant to be thrown about lightly. Words that can't be taken back. Words that are only meant to be said when backed by your heart.

Three words that can be the single most terrifying thing to say.

You knows I feel this way. I know you feel the same. So why is it so difficult?

Because saying these words leaves you vulnerable. By saying these three words, you're telling the other person that you're there for them and that you always will be; that by their being here with you, your life has been forever changed; that their existence helps colour your life.

Maybe I'm just terrified of rejection. Maybe I worry too much and over-analyze everything. Maybe I should stop thinking and just tell you how I feel.
